THE BOG

On the most recent Sunday, we went to a river and a bog. These are the birds we saw at the wetlands.

We saw a lot of Wood Storks.

A few Anhingas were croaking.

Two Bare-throated Tiger-heron.

We saw a lot of Snowy, Great, and Cattle Egrets in the marsh.

We saw A LOT of Green Herons.

We saw a Yellow-crowned Night-heron flying over the river.

We saw a lot of Boat-billed Herons.

We saw a few White Ibises.

We saw a Glossy Ibis in flight.

We possibly saw a White-faced Ibis.

We saw a Roseate Spoonbill.

A Harris’s Hawk was spotted by the river.

A lot of these Purple Gallinules were seen at the bog.

We saw quite a few Northern Jacanas.

Spotted Sandpipers were lounging on the shore of the river.

There was an Inca Dove by the roadside.

Plain-breasted Ground-doves love to lounge on the street.

There were a lot of Groove-billed Anis that we saw.

We saw some very social Social Flycatchers.

Mangrove Swallows were zipping around our boat

There were plenty of Red-winged Blackbirds in the bog.

We saw a Spot-breasted Oriole hopping around in the bushes.

There were a lot of really cool birds at THE BOG.
