Yesterday, we went on a boat tour. It was amazing. We saw a bunch of crocodiles, rare birds, and monkeys. Some of the 15 foot crocs gave you the feeling that you were looking at something straight from the Mesozoic. When the crocodiles sunk into the water as they were coming towards us and slowly sinking into the water where we couldn’t see them, it felt like they were about to attack.

We also saw a roseate spoonbill, storks, and many other birds. After the tour, we went to a marsh with so many other amazing birds. It was surreal.
On Saturday, I cooked an octopus. I blanched, marinated, then grilled it. The marinade soaked into the octopus really nicely, so it tasted slightly like spicy lime. It was also very tender, the perfect octopus flavor and texture.
The whole weekend was great, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.
