An arribada is when the olive green ridley turtles come to shore en masse to lay their eggs. It’s a long treacherous unforgiving path just to give their babies a minuscule chance at survival. And a perfect event for me to share with Bà who took us on the same journey 22 years ago.

Bà’s visit brought a little bit of “home” to mix with our pura vida.
