Life hit me like a boulder in a slingshot.
Didn’t see it coming, pulled a trick shot.
Feeling too behind, stuck in a gridlock.
And my mind makes me think about the ways it could be, if I never went through all the shit I’ve been through yeah, yeah. Who I would be, if I never crashed down, backed down.
I play it a lot in my head, alternate stories but they’re all pretend.
And I wonder if that path is for me and if I’d be far ahead ’cause where I wanna be feels so far from where I thought I’d be, yeah. It’s all a lot sometimes.
Life hit me like a boulder in a slingshot.
Didn’t see it coming, pulled a trick shot.
Feeling too behind, stuck in a gridlock.
And my mind makes me think a-think about my body when it’s shaking, hard to see the growth from all the breaking.
I’m not on the road I thought I’d taken.
My mind makes me think about it, yeah.
My mind makes me think about it, yeah.
My mind makes me think about it.
