Sorry, I can’t fully recover the images of this trip. I’m just taking pictures of pictures, so the quality’s not good. Anyways, the 7th grade went on an overnight field trip from Thursday to Friday. So, we drove on a bus to La Carolina Lodge, as shown on the sign above. The grade is pretty rowdy, but in the bus there were a few food fights. Mr. Nick(the principal) was super mad at everybody, so naturally the moment we entered the lodge, he was like, “if you don’t act good, then you’ll get sent back home.” Anyways, after that, we had 10 minutes to get ready for a hike. That’s when I met Ruby and Cuckoo, who are dogs. Here are pictures, #1 is ruby, #2 is Cuckoo:

After that, we took the 1 1/2 hour hike. At the beginning, we saw some poison dart frogs,

a yellow eyelash viper(the yellow thing at the bottom of a leaf),

and a keel billed toucan(though I don’t have a picture). Overall, the first day was fun. At night though, my cabin had 9 boys and no teacher. So naturally, I got ding dong ditched all night, along with everybody else. Right before they stopped, in the shared room(the one I’m not in) someone turned of the portable fan then stuffed it with grapes. Everybody stopped ding-dong-ditching people to watch grape juice fly everywhere. I’m really glad that I didn’t sleep in that room. 5 minutes later, Mr. Nick comes in, and gets really mad. In the morning, I found out that my cabinmates burned toothpicks in a wooden cabin, smashed a chair, and practically filled a room with candy. So, you get the idea of what happened. Mr. Nick came in like, 6 or 7 times. And no, it’s not a 67 joke, but true. In the morning, we ate breakfast, cooked some, gardened, and fished. Then we left, and we all had to apologize to the bus driver. Then on Monday, the whole grade had to write an apology letter. Long story short, the trip was fun but rowdy.
